109. Cities
"Cities" in the Bible, are always evil
places which
men
build to exalt themselves:
Genesis 4:17 - "And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived,
and
bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the
city, after the name of his son, Enoch."
Genesis 11:4 - "And they said, Go to, let us build us a city
and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us
make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the
whole earth."
Isaiah 14:21 - "Prepare slaughter for his children for the
iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess
the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities."
